BPIA submitted a letter to the leadership of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency outlining how biological products align with the agriculture-related goals of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Initiative.
BPIA’s letter strongly supports MAHA’s agricultural priorities—including environmental stewardship, rural economic development, and expanded access to sustainable crop solutions. Biological products such as biopesticides, biofertilizers, and biostimulants contribute directly to:
  • Improved Nutrition through healthier soils and more resilient crops
  • Environmental Stewardship via regenerative agriculture and reduced chemical inputs
  • Accessible Innovation by promoting regulatory reform and accelerating the adoption of low-risk tools
The letter outlines five policy priorities that align with MAHA’s agricultural vision, including clearing EPA approval backlogs, advancing the bipartisan Plant Biostimulant Act, establishing a clear pathway for GE microbes, expanding grower adoption programs, and addressing international trade barriers.
