The Biological Products Industry Alliance (BPIA) applauds recent momentum around fertilizer affordability, domestic fertilizer production, and agricultural innovation, including Senator Roger Marshall’s (R-KS) recent call during a USDA-led fertilizer policy press conference to advance the Plant Biostimulant Act and other related fertilizer bills.
BPIA also thanks Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE) for elevating the biological space during this month’s Senate Agriculture Committee fertilizer hearing, “Perspectives on the Fertilizer Industry: Ensuring a Stable and Affordable Supply for American Producers.”
As growers continue to face high input costs and fertilizer market uncertainty, biological products, including plant biostimulants, can play an important role as part of a broader toolkit to support nutrient efficiency, crop productivity, and resilience.
BPIA looks forward to continuing to work with the Senate Agriculture Committee and other congressional leaders to advance policies that strengthen American agriculture and support innovation.
