Carly Odynsky works as a Regulatory Compliance Associate on the Regulatory team at Joyn Bio, a joint venture between the synthetic biotech company, Ginkgo Bioworks, and the life science company, Bayer. Carly helps support Joyn Bio in its commitment to engineer microbes for sustainable solutions for agriculture by providing regulatory guidance to project teams to ensure USDA-APHIS compliance and timeline alignment between project goals and the regulatory pathway. Prior to Joyn Bio’s Regulatory team, she worked as a strain engineer on the Microbial Engineering team. She received her master’s degree in biotechnology from Marywood University in 2017.
