Ted Melnik
President and CEO, Valent BioSciences LLC
Ted Melnik is Valent BioSciences’ President and CEO, where he is responsible for overseeing the entire spectrum of activities at this global industry leader. His professional career has spanned more than 40 years, with experience in all aspects of commercial management in both the chemical and biorational industries.
Melnik began his career at Union Carbide, spending 18 years in various commercial roles. He became President of Novozymes Biologicals in 2001, leading that business through a phase of rapid growth. He cofounded Cooper BioAg in 2011, a company focused on private equity investments in the agriculture space. In 2013, he joined Valent BioSciences as COO.
Melnik earned a B.S. degree in general sciences from Villanova University.
