Cory Harris is the Legislative Director to U.S. Congressman Jim Baird (IN-04). In this role, Cory leads Dr. Baird’s legislative initiatives, public policy strategy, and coalition building. Cory also manages a policy portfolio including Agriculture, Transportation & Infrastructure, Trade, Climate Change, and Biofuels; as well as staffing the Congressman in his role as Ranking Member of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Biotechnology, Horticulture, and Research. Prior to joining Congressman Baird’s staff, Cory worked in government affairs for the American Feed Industry Association, Indiana Corn Growers Association & Indiana Soybean Alliance, and with Growth Energy. Cory is an Indiana native and holds degrees in applied agricultural economics and political science from Purdue University.
