Industry Coalition Letter Urging Timely Passage of FY 2026 Interior-Environment Appropriations
October 31, 2025
BPIA joined a coalition of industry associations representing America’s manufacturing, agriculture, public health, and consumer-goods sectors in sending a letter to Congressional leadership urging swift, bipartisan passage of the Fiscal Year 2026 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies appropriations bill.
The letter emphasizes the critical role of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP)—particularly the Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP)—in ensuring timely, science-based decisions that sustain public health, food production, and economic stability. The coalition calls for adequate resources to prevent further regulatory backlogs, protect essential infrastructure, and maintain continuity of chemical and pesticide reviews under TSCA and PRIA
