“The Biological Products Industry Alliance has played a leading role in elevating the conversation around biological products in Congress. Their work helps ensure policymakers understand how innovation, sustainability, and regulatory certainty can work together to strengthen U.S. agriculture.”
— Senator Alex Padilla (CA), in remarks to BPIA

As we reflect on the close of 2025, BPIA would like to thank you for your continued engagement and partnership.

Over the past year, BPIA and its members worked together to strengthen the policy foundation for biological products, elevate their role in federal decision-making, and expand engagement across Congress, federal agencies, and the broader agricultural community. With your support, BPIA:

  • Sent 25 advocacy letters and formal comments to Congress and federal agencies in response to active legislative and administrative actions, reinforcing the need for science-based, predictable policy for biological products.
  • Advocated for reintroduction of the Plant Biostimulant Act of 2025 in both the U.S. House and U.S. Senate, helping maintain legislative momentum around regulatory clarity, market certainty, and enabling innovation.
  • Sold out BPIA’s first-ever Inert Ingredients in Biological Products Symposium, held December 4, 2025, at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, that was focused on formulation, regulation, and manufacturing excellence.
  • Established a Grower Outreach Initiative as a multi-year effort focused on increasing grower awareness, adoption, and effective use of biological products, including the development of grower-facing tools and presentations for members and staff.
  • Deepened direct engagement with federal agencies, including USDA and EPA, to support regulatory clarity and scientific progress across biological product review, research, and implementation.
  • Expanded BPIA’s digital reach and visibility, publishing 58 LinkedIn posts in 2025 that generated more than 2,300 reactions, more than 90 comments, and nearly 160 reposts—amplifying the voice of biological products across policy and industry audiences.
  • Created the BPIA Women’s Network, strengthening leadership development and engagement across the biological products sector. The Network launched at the BPIA 2025 Annual Meeting and is supported through ongoing engagement via a dedicated Women’s Network Basecamp.
  • Engaged with House and Senate offices to build bipartisan understanding of the role biological products play in U.S. agriculture, innovation, and food security.
  • Formed an Agronomist Task Force to bring real-world agronomic expertise into policy discussions, education efforts, and strategies that support on-farm success and effective product use.
  • Delivered BPIA’s first-ever Member Directory to all members and shared it with more than 250 stakeholder organizations globally, increasing visibility for biological products and BPIA member companies.

In the year ahead, BPIA will continue to lead federal policy engagement, advance regulatory clarity, and convene stakeholders to support innovation, market access, and the effective use of biological products across U.S. agriculture.

BPIA looks forward to building on this momentum in 2026 and continuing to work with you in the year ahead.
