The Biological Products Industry Alliance (BPIA) sent a letter to House Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn “GT” Thompson and Ranking Member Angie Craig urging passage of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 (H.R. 7567).
In the letter, BPIA emphasizes the urgent need for a long-overdue Farm Bill that provides certainty for farmers, rural communities, and agricultural innovators. BPIA also highlights the inclusion of the bipartisan Plant Biostimulant Act of 2025 (H.R. 3783), which would establish a clear federal definition for plant biostimulants and help support innovation, investment, and grower access to biological tools.
Additionally, the letter points to provisions recognizing biological fertilizers, biostimulants, and other innovative technologies in conservation practices, helping better align federal policy with the tools growers are already using to improve productivity, resilience, and sustainability.
